De Plantage

For our last evening in Amsterdam, I organised dinner at a rather romantic spot.


Don’t you think?

Earlier in the evening, before the fairies brought the place to light, James and I sat in the restaurant’s garden for a little aperatif.


Before heading inside to enjoy a thoroughly delicious meal.



To start, broad bean risotto for me and terrine for James.


Just how I like my risotto, smothered in parmesan cheese.

For main, James and I shared a lamb for two, served with moroccan-inspired rice and mint yogurt. Of course, we couldn’t help but order some fries too. Glutenous you may say, even indulgent but very happy we were.


After dinner, we headed into the garden to enjoy the last of our wine under the big trees and bright lights.


After dinner, while we waited for our uber, we took a stroll around the garden and came across a bunch of Florences (also known as Flamingos).
