Spring Sunday in Flagey

With each season, we explore our city, finding new places and hidden gems

One gem has stayed a firm favourite, our local market in Flagey that’s open each Saturday and Sunday – I may have even raved about it before

Like most of Brussels at first, it looks a little gritty, but then you see the beauty, the nature and you fall hopelessly

and Spring in the City is the perfect season to visit the new little hatchlings

Before picking up some groceries, much cheaper than at the supermarket and super fresh, including this delicious handmade fresh pasta

If you’re looking for a chicken though, be warned, the queue can be quite something, we couldn’t believe it until one day, we arrived early before the queue and nabbed a chicken, now we know why it’s worth the wait

With all the walking and food scented air, stopping off for a drink and snack is obligatory, and our new favourite is this little green van

Serving up fresh mint tea (fully loaded with sugar)

and yummy mergez sausage wraps loaded with veg, cheese & runny honey (they do a veggie option too)

Before walking back home
